WASHINGTON—Reaching out to the surviving victims of Saturday’s shootings as they recovered from their numerous gunshot wounds, President Donald Trump reportedly called Minnesota state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette Hoffman on Monday to rant about Gov. Tim Walz. “Your governor was very unfair to me in the 2024 election—a real nasty piece of work, that Walz,” said Trump, raving over the phone to the hospitalized couple as he described how Minneapolis had turned into “a complete hellhole” under Walz’s leadership of the state. “Did you hear about his trips to China? Very suspicious, if you ask me. And he lied about his military service. So disgraceful! It really is a shame that he’s still in office. You both have my deepest condolences for all the suffering that moron has caused the great state of Minnesota.” According to reports, Trump assured the Hoffmans that he’d do everything in his power to make sure Walz was “next.”
